Dear users of the DMKN,
the international conference and exhibition on maritime security & defence (MS&D 2009) is an international platform for experts from the world's naval community - it is regarded as a key forum by leading representatives of navies, coastguards, border police and customs authorities, and representatives of industry and government throughout the world. It responds in particular to the growing threat from piracy and terrorism to global goods transport on the vulnerable international shipping routes, and hence to the functioning of the world's economy.
The event will be held at the new Hamburg Fair site from 30 September to 2 October 2009, for the first time as an independent and dedicated conference with accompanying exhibition.
